SECRETARY POSITION: Our church secretary, Laura Powell, has requested to resign from her duties due to health reasons. We graciously thank Laura for her services to our church community. The Executive Committee (Doug Van Andel, Pastor Steve, Mark Tennant, Chad Drost, Harmen DeJong, Keith Korthuis) is accepting applications for the position of church secretary, and applications are available from any committee member or on the church website. We covet the congregation’s prayers to provide us candidates and to give us the wisdom we need in selecting a new church secretary.

FROM THE WORSHIP COMMITTEE: Please review the two hymnals in our church library. We are considering replacing the current grey Psalter Hymnals. Your comments and suggestions are encouraged and welcomed. Committee members are Chad Drost, Keith Korthuis, Mary Pitcher, Laura TeVelde, Pastor Steve, and Elaine Vos.

DINNER: You are invited to meet the parents of the Inspire Development Center Preschool students for a dinner in the church basement at 5:30 on Tuesday, Dec. 5.

GEMS: Tomorrow we will have our Christmas party from 7:00 - 8:30! Remember to dress appropriately for the weather so we can do some caroling AND bring a plate of Christmas goodies to share!

MABERRY CAMP CHRISTMAS PARTY: Did you notice the giving tree in the back for the Maberry Camp Christmas Party? Please take a tag. Bring the gift back wrapped and with the tag securely attached. Please note: The date for the party has changed to Friday, Dec. 15. We need the gifts back next week Sunday, Dec. 10. Call Marilyn Haak with any questions.

MOM’S MINISTRY: Praise God that Mom's Time Out will begin January 17. Our young mom's ministry will happen at Bethel in 2018!! Please pray for the leaders as they work out the details and that many more moms will sign up.

DONATIONS: Mom's Time Out and our Nursery needs your help! Our nursery toys are outdated or in disrepair, we need some updated toys to accommodate our little ones and the little ones that we will be ministering to for Mom's Time Out. Some specific things that we need are ExerSaucers or bouncers, a swing or two, riding toys, walk behind toys, a changing table, and pack-n-plays. If you have any questions please talk to Marcia Mulder, Dee Hiemstra or Mandy Van Noort. Thank you!

SAFETY: Please be aware that Council will begin to limit access to our church during our worship services. All side doors will be locked shortly after the beginning of the service. Access will be through the front doors only during the service for better monitoring.

SENIOR COFFEE: There will be NO Senior Coffee this week. Please join us again on Dec. 13!
